Nagpur hosts the first ODI between India and England on Thursday, February 6. The match starts from 1:30 pm IST with the toss taking place 30 minutes before the game starts. India won the T20I series 4-1 with some dominating performances.
They piled up 247 runs in the final T20I in Mumbai and won the match by 150. The venue for the first ODI is also a high-scoring one and all the Indian batters will look forward to getting some runs in the ODI series.
India have had the wood over England in ODIs winning 58 of the 107 ODIs played. In the last five matches between the two sides, the hosts have won four. The series being played at home, the Indian team will look to play with freedom and express themselves on the park. It will be a good dress rehearsal for both teams ahead of the Champions Trophy. Both teams will look to finetune their playing combination as well.

By the evening, dew is expected to play a part in the contest. The team that wins the toss should prefer chasing although batting first and putting up a good score is the best way to go.
