Royal Challengers Bengaluru wicket-keeper batter Jithesh Sharma has made his move from Vidarbha to Baroda for the upcoming 2025–2026 domestic season.
Jithesh’s transfer to Baroda was facilitated by his RCB teammate Krunal Pandya, who is also the skipper of Baroda. Krunal played a key role in helping Jithesh secure the move, and Jithesh could now become Baroda’s first-choice wicket-keeper batter for the upcoming red-ball season.

Jithesh Sharma Eyes Starting Role at Baroda
Since his debut in the 2015–2016 season, Jithesh has played only 18 first-class matches, largely serving as the backup to Vidarbha’s captain Akshay Wadkar, who regularly kept wickets. However, Jithesh featured consistently in limited-overs matches for Vidarbha under Karun Nair’s leadership.
Jithesh made his breakthrough during the 2023 IPL season after being picked by the Punjab Kings. Introduced as a finisher, he delivered several impactful performances, earning his debut for the Indian team in the Asia Cup 2023. Since then, he has featured in nine T20Is for India.
