Our Time To Take Responsibility - Mehidy Hasan Miraz

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Mehidy Hasan gave his first reactions after being appointed as the new ODI skipper of Bangladesh. He said that he will bring in the experience of playing under diferent captains in his career so far.

"When I debuted for the Bangladesh team, it was under Mashrafe bhai. I played under many captains and it's a happy moment for me as I learned a lot of things from them which I can use during my captaincy tenure," Mehidy said at a press conference.

Bangladesh are currently ranked 10th in the ICC ODI rankings and Mehidy Hasan is looking to change the script for the national side. He said in the presser that the responsibility is on them to lift themselves up the table.

"Of course, it's our time to take responsibility. We have played a sufficient number of international matches for the last eight to nine years. Junior players have to perform the way we did when we started. I will try to help them as the seniors did and want to give such a dressing room so that they feel all are with them," said the 27-year-old all-rounder.
