Rohit Sharma won the ICC Champions Trophy title with the Indian cricket team recently. He ended India's Champions Trophy title wait for more than a decade as India won against Australia in the final.
Rohit Sharma scored a match-winning 76 in the final. India won the match by four wickets and avenged their 2023 ODI World Cup final loss against the Men in Yellow.
There were reports that Rohit Sharma might announce his retirement from the ODI format with India's Champions Trophy title win. However, he has denied any such rumors. Further reports said that he has already started working on his body to keep it maintained till the ODI World Cup 2027.
Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are looking to play till the ODI World Cup 2027. Both superstars of the Indian cricket team, they have some unfinished business in the ODI format.
"Bhai hum koi retire nahi ho rahe hain, inko lag raha hai (We are not retiring. These people think)," Rohit is heard saying in Hindi, as the two shared a laugh.
Viral Instagram Post Of Rohit Sharma And Nita Ambani
Meanwhile, new reports have emerged on social media that Mumbai Indians co-owner Nita Ambani has gifted Rohit Sharma a Bugatti after he led India to the title win. Several images and reels have been going viral on social media.
However, there is no official confirmation of the same and it is expected that the reports are fake. There are no credible reports of Sharma receiving gifts from any Ambani family member and the viral images have been created using Artificial Intelligence
It is further reported that that the viral picture was 97% likely to be AI-generated, confirming that it was manipulated and not real. Upon closer inspection of the viral image, it can be noted that the hands are not perfectly placed and the faces do not match and lack originality as well. The jerseys won by Rohit Sharma in the two images are not the same either which confirms that this is a fake image and the news overall is a fake news.
Thus the claim that Nita Ambani gifted a Bugatti to Rohit Sharma after the Champions Trophy is false and has no credibility.
