While his contribution was not significant enough, he seemed pretty chirpy off the field and ended up having an animated chat with the umpire.

In a video that has been released by DPL's official X handle, Rana was seen arguing with the umpire. The southpaw was seen extremely disturbed, but the reason is unknown. In a video that is going viral on social media, the Delhi player was seen telling the umpire to address a situation. While the umpire was initially paying heed to the player, later he was seen having a go at the Lions captain.

However, Rana was not convinced by what the umpire said and looked upset. While the situation between the player and the umpire was not ugly, he was sent to his fielding position. However, the overall picture paints a picture of how Rana is passionate about leading the West Delhi Lions.

West Delhi Lions suffer their first defeat after consecutive wins

For the unversed, the Delhi Lions suffered their first defeat after managing to win two consecutive matches on the bounce. They lost the match to Purani Dilli 6 by 15 runs. Rana failed to contribute as he scored only 15 off 14 balls in a run chase. After a slight setback, the Delhi Lions will be aiming to bounce back by winning against East Delhi Riders, an opponent they beat by seven wickets in the opening match of the DPL 2025 season.
