India is set to play a five-match ODI series in New Zealand, aiming to improve their current 50-over record against the Kiwis. The series begins on November 4, 2026, with the first match at Auckland's Eden Park.
Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are making their return to the ODI squad, having recently scored centuries against the West Indies. Their presence is expected to bolster India's batting lineup.
New Zealand will be without Devon Conway for the opening ODI due to concussion. Mitchell Santner will captain the Kiwis throughout the series. Key players for New Zealand include Tom Latham, Daryl Mitchell, and Glenn Phillips with the bat.
The opening match at Eden Park features short straight boundaries, potentially favoring batsmen. However, conditions under lights could offer swing and seam movement for bowlers.
