India clinched an eight-wicket victory over the West Indies in the second ODI on Wednesday, September 30, securing an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series. Opting to bowl after winning the toss, India's bowlers faced a strong West Indies batting lineup on a favourable pitch.

Despite excellent batting conditions, where John Campbell, Shai Hope, and Amir Jangoo all scored centuries to propel the visitors past the 400-run mark, India's batting lineup proved superior. Standout performances included Shubman Gill's exceptional second double century in ODIs, earning him a perfect rating. Rohit Sharma also contributed a brilliant century, forming a significant partnership with Gill. Other notable performances with the bat saw Ruturaj Gaikwad and KL Rahul playing supporting roles. On the bowling front, Kuldeep Yadav and Naman Dhir picked up two wickets each, with Dhir also being economical.
