In the third T20I against New Zealand in Wellington, young Indian batter Vaibhav Suryavanshi was promoted to open the innings. Chasing a target of 199, Suryavanshi immediately displayed his aggressive style, hitting a six off the third ball he faced from RCB pacer Jacob Duffy. This aggressive start was crucial as India aimed for a strong beginning in their chase.

Suryavanshi's promotion proved effective, as he reached 25 runs from his first ten deliveries, including three sixes. This performance marks a significant improvement from his previous outing in the second T20I, where he struggled for form batting at number three. The 15-year-old is keen to capitalize on this strong start and cement his place in the team.
