Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has become the latest addition to Australia’s injury list after suffering a freak arm injury while bowling in the nets ahead of the first T20I against New Zealand.
The injury has been deemed serious, ruling Maxwell out of the entire three-match T20I series against New Zealand. Reports also suggest that he could miss the upcoming five-match T20I series against India.
Maxwell Injury Adds to Australia's Growing Concerns
The 36-year-old remains a vital part of Australia’s T20I setup. With the 2021 T20 World Cup winners building towards the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup next year, Maxwell’s injury comes as a significant blow. He joins an already growing list of unavailable players.
