ICC punishes Shaheen Shah Afridi & Kamran Ghulam for their aggression against South Africa in 3rd ODI

Summary

Shaheen Shah Afridi, Kamran Ghulam, & Salman Ali Agha were punished by ICC for their ugly celebrations during the match against South Africa

Shaheen Afridi, Kamran Ghulam

While Pakistan managed to win the ODI against South Africa in Karachi, it was marred with controversy as Shaheen Shah Afridi and Kamran Ghulam made off-field noise rather than concentrating on-field matters. First up, it was the turn of substitute fielder Ghulam, who ran to Temba Bavuma and fist-pumped him right on his face after he was run out. In fact, the South African skipper had to wait for Ghulam and Salman Agha to finish off their ugly celebrations before making his way back to the pavilion.

Next up, Pakistan's senior pacer, Shaheen Afridi intentionally tried to shoulder barge Matthew Breetzke, who was trying to take a single of his delivery. For the unversed, both Bavuma and Breetzke did not rub the Pakistan players in the wrong way. Pakistan players were frustrated as the duo of Bavuma and Breetzke put on a 122-run second wicket stand, and immediately after dismissing both batters in a quick time, Shaheen, Ghulam, and Salman aggressively celebrated their wickets.
