The D-day has finally arrived as the Indian Premier League (IPL 2025) final is set to witness history as there will be a new winner between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) vs Punjab Kings (PBKS) final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday, June 03. This is also a second straight final for Shreyas Iyer, albeit with a different franchise, this time for PBKS. Ahead of the grand final, Shreyas's two biggest supporters - his mother and sister have shared a heartfelt message for him & PBKS.

PBKS stormed into their second IPL final by beating Mumbai Indians (MI) by six wickets in Ahmedabad on June 01. The Iyer-led side has momentum and will be eager to carry that form against RCB. Ahead of the clash, PBKS posted a video on X of the mother-daughter duo beginning by saying, "Chardi Kala" - a message that implies positivity and high optimism.

"Thank you to all the Punjab fans for supporting us since day one. We are very, very grateful. To the team - all the very best for tomorrow. And we are incredibly proud of each one of you. Tomorrow is our day. Just go out there and lift the cup. And we are super excited for tomorrow," Shreyas' sister said in the video.

The message ended with his mother saying, "All the best, everyone. Bas jeetna hai. (Just win it)."

History awaits as RCB & PBKS's jinx is set to be broken

It's been 18 long years since RCB & PBKS have won the IPL trophy. Both these teams have come agonizingly close to laying hands on the trophy. PBKS missed in 2014 as KKR won the trophy, while RCB missed three times in 2009, 2011, & 2016. The last of the final is still hurting RCB as they missed the chance to lift the trophy at home in Bengaluru.
