The five-time champions, Mumbai Indians, are in advanced talks to sign replacements if they qualify for the playoffs this season.
Mumbai Indians will miss the services of Will Jacks and Ryan Rickelton for the remainder of the season due to their unavailability. Will Jacks has already rejoined the Mumbai Indians camp for the rest of the league matches, but he will miss the playoffs due to international commitments.
Ryan Rickelton, who was selected for the WTC Final squad to face Australia, will also miss the rest of the season. Additionally, Corbin Bosch will be unavailable as he’ll be training with Rickelton for a practice test match against Zimbabwe in England, which starts on June 29.
Both Will Jacks and Ryan Rickelton have made significant contributions with bat and ball. Rickelton is the second-highest run scorer for Mumbai Indians, having scored 334 runs in 11 matches, while Will Jacks has contributed 195 runs and taken 5 wickets in the same number of matches.

Bairstow Confirms IPL Availability After ODI Snub
Jonny Bairstow, who went unsold during the auction, is expected to be signed by the Mumbai Indians if they qualify for the playoffs. As he was not selected for the ODI series against the West Indies, he has confirmed his availability for the IPL. Currently leading Yorkshire in the County Championship, he would miss two matches for Yorkshire if he is picked by the Mumbai Indians.
Bairstow has ample experience playing in the IPL, having previously played for Punjab Kings. He led Punjab Kings to chase down a record total against Kolkata Knight Riders with a match-winning century. It was unfortunate that he went unsold in the mega auction, considering he has a strike rate of 144.50 as an opener. Along with Jonny Bairstow, Richard Gleeson, a tall right-arm fast bowler who previously played for Chennai Super Kings, is also in talks as a potential future replacement.
