The SL vs AUS series moves onto the ODIs after the Test series. Australia cleanswept Sri Lanka at Galle winning the Test series 2-0. The hosts have a chance now to make a comeback in the ODI series by hitting back the Aussies hard.
The Australians made a light work of the first two Test matches. They won the first Test by an innings and 242 runs and won the second Test by nine wickets. The Sri Lankan were a no-match for the visitors who outplayed them in every department.
The series now moves onto the ODIs with Australia missing their senior players Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood due to injuries. Mitchell Marsh is also ruled out due to back injury. The sudden ODI retirement of Marcus Stoinis has also shaken up their playing combination.

With Australia, missing many of their key players, this is Sri Lanka's chance to hit them hard. The side had many of their players featuring in the ICC ODI Team of the Year.
