The Bir Shrestha Shahid Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Cricket Stadium in Chattogram is one of the main cricket venues in Bangladesh. Earlier, it was known as Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium and for a short period as Bir Shrestha Shaheed Ruhul Amin Stadium. The ground has gone through several renamings, most recently in March 2025, when it was dedicated to Matiur Rahman.
With a capacity of about 22,000, it serves as the home of the Chattogram Challengers in the Bangladesh Premier League and is considered the premier stadium in Chattogram. Located around 30 minutes from the city centre, the Divisional Stadium in Chittagong was built ahead of the 2004 Under-19 World Cup as part of Bangladesh cricket’s push to modernize facilities.
It hosted its first international game when Sri Lanka toured Bangladesh in 2006. The stadium also featured in the 2011 ODI World Cup. Two group matches were played here. With the installation of floodlights before the World Cup, it became one of only a few venues in the country equipped for day-night cricket.
