Lahore is all set to host the second semi-final between South Africa and New Zealand on Wednesday, March 5. The match starts from 2.30 pm IST. THe two teams recently played against each other in the Pakistan ODI Tri-Series.

South Africa after New Zealand's loss to India in their final league game travelled back to Lahore to take on the Kiwis. The two teams will have all on the line when they take on each other in the second semi-final in Lahore.

South Africa won their first game against Afghanistan. Their next match against Australia was washed out. They defeated England in a rather easy contest. Talking about New Zealand, they defeated Pakistan, Bangladesh and lost out to India in their final league game.

Having played each other recently in the Pakistan ODI Tri-Series recently, New Zealand and South Africa are both well aware of each other's strengths and weaknesses. The Proteas have won three out of the last five games against the Kiwis.

The pitch in Lahore will be a batting-friendly one. The pitch in Lahore has been the best one for batting so far. England posted over 350 and the Aussies won the match by chasing down the score. Afghanistan also scored 325 against England and defeated the side by their trial by spin. Thus the two matches have proved that there are runs in store on this pitch and the spinners will have a better say in the match then the pacers.

The weather conditions will be hot and humid with plenty of sunshine for the match. The humidity will be close to 45 percent and there is no chance of rain whatsoever.
