India's ODI Captain, Rohit Sharma, recently had a conversation with a senior journalist, focusing on how he handles criticism and the vulnerabilities he has faced throughout his batting career.
Rohit Sharma is known for being straightforward, and his responses regarding criticism were precise. He acknowledged that he has faced significant criticism over the years, noting that while it can hurt, he believes it’s not worth defending, especially when it comes to unnecessary critiques.Â
"I've faced a lot of criticism, even unnecessary criticism," Rohit said. "I can't say that criticism doesn't affect anyone. It might affect some, and not others. But for me, it doesn't anymore. With time, you learn to handle it. For any sportsperson, facing criticism is part of the journey. What I don't support is unnecessary criticism."
