Vidarbha Batsmen Frustrate Goa on Day 2

Vidarbha batters R. Samarth, Dhruv Shorey, and Danish Malewar batted strongly to reduce the deficit against Goa in the Ranji Trophy. Bhute starred with the ball.

Vidarbha's batting lineup frustrated Goa on the second day of their Ranji Trophy Elite Group A match, concluding at 217 for three. Dhruv Shorey (63*) and Danish Malewar (51*) forged an unbroken 93-run partnership to inch closer to Goa's first-innings total.

Earlier, Vidarbha's bowlers, led by Nachiket Bhute's five-wicket haul (48 runs), wrapped up Goa's innings for 220. Yash Kasvankar was Goa's top scorer with an unbeaten 63.

In response, Vidarbha lost early wickets, but half-centuries from R. Samarth (53) and the subsequent stand between Shorey and Malewar steadied the innings. The hosts now trail by just three runs with seven wickets in hand.
