India’s T20I captain, Surya Kumar Yadav, expressed confidence in the Indian team ahead of the Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai. He noted that India has displayed fantastic teamwork throughout the tournament, successfully capitalizing on key moments to secure victories in all their matches.
Speaking exclusively to ANI, Suryakumar stated, "India has been playing well. If they continue this form, the final will feel like just another game. I want everyone to perform well, from player number one to number 15, as well as the support staff."
India has been consistent in the Champions Trophy 2025, remaining undefeated in the tournament so far. The team has operated as a cohesive unit in Dubai, having been there since the tournament began, selecting teams based on conditions and devising effective strategies to win matches.
On the other hand, New Zealand has also performed admirably across all departments, showing strong batting skills in Pakistan but experiencing a setback in Dubai when they faced India and failed to chase down the target.
The upcoming final in Dubai pits these two teams against each other, offering a lot at stake. The last time they met in a final, New Zealand defeated India to win the Champions Trophy in 2000. This match presents India with another opportunity to avenge that loss.
