The BCCI is currently undergoing a high-stakes meeting on the future of the IPL 2025. The meeting is said to be an online one with the decision-makers deliberating on the future of the ongoing season.
The meeting comes as an aftereffect of the PBKS vs DC match being called off in Dharamsala on Thursday, June 8, after tensions escalated between India and Pakistan across the border.
Reports in Cricbuzz further say that the BCCI is keeping all options open as they are currently discussing the future of the IPL. The players' safety and security are of immense importance to the board. Previously, IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal had said that the tournament will go on as they are awaiting the government's directives.

BCCI Keeping All Options Open In Ongoing Meeting
Meanwhile, one of the major considerations for the IPL governing council and the BCCI is the safe passage of the players if the IPL is called off. The other consideration is about the ethics and morality of the board. On second thought, they are concerned about the image of the BCCI in case the IPL is called off.
"We should hear something definitive today. Under the circumstances, whether to continue with the league is topmost point on the agenda," an informed source said.
In the wake of the PBKS vs DC match being called off, there are now doubts over the progress of the LSG vs RCB match in Lucknow on Friday. IPL Chairman Arun Dhumal from Dharamsala spoke about the current situation around the country.
"We are reviewing the situation right now. It is an evolving situation. We haven't received any directive from the government. Obviously the decision will be taken keeping all the logistics in mind. Yes, it [LSG v RCB in Lucknow] is on as of now but obviously it is an evolving situation and any decision will be taken keeping the best interest of all stakeholders in mind," he said.
IPL Likely To Be Suspended
