Nicholas Pooran scored a rapid 45 runs off 16 balls at the end, helping the Lucknow Super Giants set a competitive total of 205/7. However, Sunrisers Hyderabad chased down the target with 10 balls to spare, eliminating LSG from the play-off race.
LSG batter remained at the crease until the 19.3 over but was run out with three balls left. Abdul Samad, who was on strike, failed to make contact with the ball, and Pooran, attempting to sneak a single from the non-striker's end, was dismissed by Ishan Kishan’s accurate throw. Pooran left the field visibly frustrated.
Just two balls later, Abdul Samad’s wicket fell when he dragged a delivery onto his stumps. This only added to Pooran's anger, as he was seen throwing his pads against the glass in frustration, a moment captured on camera that quickly went viral.
