After Karachi Kings (KRK) were heavily criticized for giving a hair dryer as a gift to James Vince for the player of the match award in the ongoing 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2025) season, Lahore Qalandars (LQ) went viral on social media for gifting an iPhone 16 Pro to skipper Shaheen Afridi. On Easter, LQ decided to celebrate the festival by giving lavish gifts to their players and members of their support staff.
Shaheen flaunted his customized, 24-carat gold-plated iPhone 16 Pro on the special occasion of Easter. As the left-arm pacer unboxed the precious gift from the team, his teammates were left awestruck.
Shaheen's teammate Haris Rauf joined in the banter, calling this awesome gesture of gifting the only captain with an iPhone "Unfair."
"Our Captain Qalandar receives a gift he's worthy of. A custom 24K Gold-plated iPhone 16 Pro, made just for Lahore Qalandars' main man, Shaheen!" Lahore wrote in a social media post, sharing the joyous moment.
