After the India vs Pakistan Champions Trophy clash in 2025 ended in heartbreak for the latter, the team and the fans can avenge the loss in the Asia Cup, which is slated to be held later this year. If the report is to be believed, then fans can potentially witness three India vs Pakistan games, which will be played in T20 format, with 19 games, and is likely to be played in September.
According to the Cricbuzz report, the Asia Cup 2025 was initially allotted to India, but given the political tension between India and Pakistan, the Asian Cricket Council(ACC) has made the decision to host the Continental Cup in a neutral country. Though the venue has not been decided yet, the report said that UAE and Sri Lanka are the likely options. The BCCI will be designated hosts. Just like Pakistan remained the host for CT 2025, the tournament was held in a hybrid model due to BCCI's refusal to send an Indian team.
The fiasco led to to big problem between India and Pakistan with the Men in Blue's matches being held in Dubai.
"A key recent decision of the ACC was that the tournament be held in a neutral country when it is the turn of either the BCCI or the PCB to stage it. A document in possession of this website states clearly," the report stated.
"This decision, understandably, is to avoid any controversy about the India and Pakistan teams not wanting to travel to each other's countries."

The Asia Cup 2025 is set to feature eight teams - Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, UAE, Oman, and Hong Kong, besides India and Pakistan. The format usually sees the teams divided into two groups. The top two teams from each group advance to the Super 4 stage. Then, the top two teams from the Super 4 stage will battle it out in the final. As usual, India and Pakistan will be kept in the same group, with the probability of at least two IND vs PAK games. The third one is also a possibility if India and Pakistan enter the final.
