Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh Toss Updates & Playing 11: Bangladesh Tour of Sri Lanka 2025, 3rd ODI; Charith Asalanka Opts to Bat

Sri Lanka (SL) and Bangladesh (BAN) face off in the final ODI of the three-match series on July 8 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium. With both teams winning one game each, the series is nicely poised at 1-1.

Sri Lanka took the first match by 77 runs, but Bangladesh made a strong comeback in the second game, winning by 16 runs.

In the previous fixture, Bangladesh chose to bat and put up 248 runs. Parvez Hossain Emon and Towhid Hridoy scored important half-centuries. Sri Lanka's Asitha Fernando picked up four wickets.

Sri Lanka’s reply started strong with Kusal Mendis blasting 56 runs off 31 balls and Janith Liyanage scoring an 85-ball 78. But after Mendis’ dismissal, it all came downhill for the hosts and they were all out for 232 and lost by 16 runs.

Tanvir Islam, playing just his second ODI, stole the show with a five-wicket haul and was named Player of the Match.
