The MLC 2025 season continues with the Los Angeles Knight Riders taking on the Washington Freedom in match 8 of the tournament. The match will be played on June 18 at 6.30 AM IST.
Glenn Maxwell is the captain of the Washington Freedom while Sunil Narine will be leading the Knight Riders. Narine has not been playing for West Indies in international cricket for nearly a decade, while Maxwell announced his ODI retirement recently.
Washington Freedom are currently placed third on the MLC 2025 points table while the Knight Riders are placed fifth in the six-team event. LAKR are yet to win their first game of the season. They lost to San Francisco Unicorns and Texas Super Kings in their first two games. Freedom, meanwhile, lost to the Unicorns and defeated the Seattle Orcas.

The pitch was a bit favoured towards the bowlers in this particular contest. The previous matches were all high-scoring ones.
