Gujarat Giants are chasing 126 to win against RCB Women at the Chinnaswamy stadium in match 12 of WPL 2025. They restricted the hosts to 125/7 courtesy of some brilliant bowling from the likes of Kashvee Gautam and Deandra Dottin.
Both GG and RCB are heading into this game after back to back losses and hence this is a must-win match for them. The Giants chasing down 126 lost two wickets inside the first seven overs.
RCB pacer Renuka Singh first dismissed Dayalan Hemalatha (11 off 15) in the fifth over. She then came back to dismiss Beth Mooney (17 off 20) in the seventh over of the Giants innings.
Ashleigh Gardner Holds The Key For Gujarat Giants
Ashleigh Gardner, the Giants skipper then walked out to bat and took matters in her own hands. She hit a few big hits and quickly scored 31 runs by the time the 10th over was completed. In the 10th over bowled by Georgia Wareham, she dismissed Harleen Deol (5 off 10) balls pegging the Giants chase further back in the first half of the innings.
Previously in the game, RCB scored a below-par 125/7 in their 20 overs. There was no suck contribution of note. A 48-run partnership between Raghvi Bisht (22 off 19) and Kanika Ahuja (33 off 28) was the only substantial partnership in the whole innings. Georgia Wareham (20 off 21) and Kim Garth (14 off 15) chipped in with the bat but it was not enough with the total they posted by the end of their innings.
