RCB did not have a good start against Gujarat Giants in match 12 of the WPL 2025 in Bengaluru. The Giants won the toss and opted to bowl first. RCB have lost their first two games at home and headed into this crucial clash looking for a win.
However, they had had the worst possible start a they lost Danielle Wyatt-Hodge(4 off 4) in the very first over. Deandra Dottin dismissed her followed by Ash Garner dismssing her Australian teammate Elysse Perry for a duck in the very next over.
The slow bowlers since then have had a check on the RCB batters as they have not allowd them to run away with the game. The Giants then picked up the big wicket of Smriti Mandhana (10 off 20) in the sixth over of the innings. Left-arm spinner Tanuja Kanwar got her caught in the square-leg boundary as the RCB skipper fell to spin again.

The spinners have doe a very good job to restrict the RCB batters to a lowish total in the first 10 overs. The home side has the batting depth to make up for it in the second half of the innings with Richa Ghosh still to follow.
RCB should aim to score atleast 150 in their 20 overs which should be a challenging score for the Giants who are under pressure to win this match as well. Like RCB, The Giants also lost their last two games and needs a win to stay in the reckoning.

Priya Mishra's 18-run over which was the 8th of the RCB innings provided some impetus to the RCB innings after they had a very slow start with the bat. At the end of first 10 overs, they finally reached 57/3.
