Mumbai Indians (MI) will battle it out with Gujarat Giants (GG) in the ongoing Women's Premier League (WPL) on Monday March 10. The WPL action now shifts to Mumbai, as the Brabourne stadium will host MI vs GG match. Both teams have secured thier playoff spots. However, there is a bigger goal - finishing first at the points table. Whoever tops the table, will directly qualify for the finals.
If GG can win against MI by 17 runs margin or chase the target, (of say 180) in 18 overs, then they finish at the top of the points table. After not making it to the playoffs for two years, GG have finally turned a corner in the WPL 2025 season by performing as a unit. This year, they can also finish first on the points table, but standing in their way is a determined MI side.
MI knows how to win in the knockout stages of WPL, and they would be eager to keep the winning momentum going. MI have also chance to finish at the top of the points table, but for that, they need to win both their games to go to 12 points and seal the top spot.
