Gujarat Giants (GG) will lock horns with Utter Pradesh Warriorz (UPW) in match 3 of the ongoing Women's Premier League (WPL) on Sunday, February 16 at the Kotambi Stadium in Vadodara. UP will be led by Deepti Sharma, as regular skipper Alyssa Healy is unavailable for WPL season three. UP will be playing their first game of the season, While GG will be playing their second game.
GG are coming off a massive loss against RCB, as their bowlers failed to defend 201. Barring skipper Ash Gardner and Beth Mooney, the rest of the players failed to make a mark in the opening game against RCB. GG would be eager to turn things around against UP. The Deepti Sharma-led side have a good bowling attack that features Sophie Ecclestone, Saima Thakor, and Rajeshwari Gayakwad.
