It was a disappointing performance from UP Warriorz against Mumbai Indians women in Bengaluru. They were restricted to 142/9 after 20 overs. This happened after Mumbai Indians won the toss and asked UP to bat first.
UP lost Kiran Navgire (1 off 3) in the very first over. Then it was Grace Harris (45 off 26 balls) and Vrinda Dinesh (33 off 30) who added a 79-run stand for the second wicket.
Once UP lost Harris in the 10th over of their innings, their innings dismantled and there was a batting collapse. Her dismissal gave Mumbai a chance to comeback into the game and they did not look back. They kept on chipping away with the wickets not allowing the middle-order batters to contribute anything substantial to the total. UP skipper Deepti Sharma was dismissed for just four of six balls.

Nat Sciver-Brunt Takes 3-Fer Against UP Warriorz
For Mumbai, Nat Sciver-Brunt took 3/18. Shabnim Ismail and Sanskriti Guta took two each. Mumbai spinners Amelia Kerr and Hayley Matthews took one each. Ultimately, UP Warriorz were restricted to a below-par total on a good batting wicket.
Mumbai Indians now need 143 to win. A win here for them will take them to six points and on par with Delhi Capitals in terms of points. The season is getting into a phase where every match is a critical one and important for all the five teams.
The UP bowlers will need to bowl very well to deny Mumbai from winning the game. They notched up a fighting win against RCB women in their previous game and they will need to do something similar to win this game against MI.
