An all-round performance from Mumbai Indians women saw them top the points table after match 11 in WPL 2025. They defeated the UP Warriorz by 8 wickets in a fairly one-sided contest in Bengaluru on Wednesday.
Mumbai Indians won the toss and opted to bowl first. Opener Kiran Navgire (1 off 3) was dismissed in the very first over. Grace Harris (45 off 26) and Vrinda Dinesh (33 off 30) were the only chief contributors with the bat for UP.
The two added a 79-run stand for the second wicket and everything fell apart for the Warriorz once Harris and Vrinda were dismissed in back to back overs. Shweta Sehrawat (19 off 13) and Uma Chettry (13* off 20) scored a few runs but it hardly mattered in the end. As many as even UP batters were dismissed for single-digit scores. They ended with a below par 142/9
All-Round Nat Sciver-Brunt Scripts Easy Win For MI
For Mumbai, Nat Sciver-Brunt took 3/18 with the ball. Shabnim Ismail and Sanskriti Gupta took two wickets each as well. After taking three wickets, Brunt also scored an unbeaten 75 off 44 balls to take Mumbai Indians to a comfortable victory. She hit 13 fours in her knock and along with Hayley Matthews (59 off 50) added 133 for the second wicket. Matthews fell in the penultimate ball of the 17th over. Harmanpreet Kaur, the Mumbai skipper then hit a four off the final ball to win the match in the 17th over as the side bagged their third win of the season.

Brunt was named the Player Of The Match for her heroics with bat and ball. As said earlier, the win took Mumbai Indians to the top of the points table. Mumbai and Delhi now have six points each. Gujarat Giants with a solitary win are at the bottom of the points table. RCB and UP have two wins each.
